In a beautiful valley lay the kingdom of Sundarapuram. The young Prince Arjun was very proud of his massive stone fortress. It had high walls, vast granaries filled with grain, and deep wells. 'Look at my fortress!' Arjun would say. 'It has everything a kingdom needs to be safe.'
One summer, a great drought hit the land, followed by a sudden raid from a neighboring group of bandits. Arjun felt anxious. He looked at his piles of gold and sacks of rice and wondered, 'If we have all these things, why do I still feel unsafe?'
His wise mentor, Vikram, sat beside him. 'Prince,' Vikram said gently, 'A fortress is not just a collection of things. Having food, water, and weapons is essential, yes. But a fortress truly becomes strong only when it has brave and capable people who know how to use those resources to protect the kingdom during a crisis.'
When the bandits attacked, the granaries provided food for the soldiers, and the weapons provided defense. However, it was the courage of the guards and the cleverness of the villagers in organizing a defense that actually saved the day. They didn't just stand there; they used their skills to outsmart the attackers. Arjun realized that while the walls and supplies were important, it was the strength and wisdom of his people that made the fortress unbeatable.
From that day on, Arjun focused not just on building bigger walls, but on training and supporting his people.
