In a peaceful village lived a boy named Arjun. Arjun was kind-hearted but very trusting. He made friends easily without thinking much about their true character. His friend, Rohan, was always full of praise. Whenever Arjun did something small, Rohan would say, 'You are the smartest boy in the world!' This made Arjun feel very special and confident.
One year, a heavy drought hit the village. Arjun's family, who ran a small grocery shop, struggled to make ends meet. As things got difficult, Rohan's behavior changed. He stopped visiting Arjun and avoided talking to him. When Arjun reached out to Rohan for support, Rohan made excuses and stayed away. Arjun felt lonely and heartbroken.
Arjun's grandfather noticed his sadness and sat him down. He said, 'Arjun, do not let thoughts that make you feel small or weak take root in your mind. And more importantly, do not build friendships with those who are only there for the good times. A true friend is someone who stands by you when the storm comes.' Arjun realized that Rohan was not a real friend. He learned to choose his companions more wisely from then on.
