In a peaceful village lived two friends, Arjun and Vikram. Arjun was known for his calm and kind nature, while Vikram was often boastful and quick to judge others. One evening, while playing near the village temple, Vikram accidentally knocked over a beautiful ceremonial lamp, cracking it. It was a precious heirloom of the village elder, Mr. Raghavan.
Vikram panicked. 'If anyone finds out, they will think I am clumsy! I'll just pretend I didn't see anything,' he whispered. Arjun, who had witnessed the accident, felt a tug at his heart. Instead of running to tell everyone about Vikram's mistake, Arjun approached him quietly. 'Don't worry, Vikram. Let's fix this together or go to Mr. Raghavan and tell him the truth. We shouldn't let this become a scandal.'
Vikram initially wanted to blame a stray cat, but Arjun stood firm, protecting his friend's reputation. Later, when the elder found out through a different way, he noticed how Arjun had tried to help Vikram mend his mistake rather than gossiping about it. Arjun's grace showed his greatness, while Vikram's impulse to hide behind lies showed his smallness. Vikram eventually learned that true strength lies in protecting a friend's dignity.
