In a peaceful village lived an elderly man named Madhavan with his family. Madhavan was a calm and steady man, but his family often faced many struggles. His eldest son, Arjun, was impulsive and often made hasty decisions, while his daughter, Meera, was very timid and easily frightened.
One monsoon season, heavy rains caused the river to overflow, threatening to submerge their farmland, which was their only source of livelihood. Seeing the rising water, Arjun panicked, shouting, "We must leave everything behind and run away right now!" Meera began to cry, sobbing, "Everything is lost! What will we do?"
Amidst the chaos, Madhavan remained unshaken. He gathered everyone and said softly, "Panicking will not stop the water. Let us think clearly about what we can save."
Madhavan took charge. He calmly guided Arjun to help secure the livestock and showed Meera how to move their precious belongings to higher ground. His strength wasn't in shouting, but in his ability to stay composed when everyone else was falling apart. Because Madhavan stood firm like a rock, the family worked together and managed to save most of their belongings. They realized that in times of crisis, it is the strong-willed person who carries the weight of the family.
