In a peaceful village lived a kind girl named Maya. Maya shared a very special bond with her friend, Arjun. Arjun was a hardworking boy who lived in a nearby valley. He often helped Maya’s family with their farm work from a distance, but he rarely visited the village to talk to her. Seeing this, the villagers began to gossip. 'Arjun is so cold,' they would say. 'He doesn't care for Maya at all. He stays far away because he doesn't value her friendship.'
One afternoon, Maya’s friend, Sara, sat with her and asked, 'Maya, why do you stay so close to Arjun? Everyone says he is unloving and distant.'
Maya smiled gently, her eyes shining with peace. 'The villagers only see what happens on the outside,' she replied. 'They see his absence, but they don't see his presence in my heart. Every time he helps us, I feel his love. To the world, he may seem far away, but in my heart, he dwells with constant joy. His love isn't measured by how often he visits, but by how much he cares.'
Maya knew that while the world judged by appearances, true love lived quietly and beautifully within the soul.
