In a peaceful village nestled near a great forest, lived a young boy named Ravi. Every morning, Ravi would take his flock of sheep to the green meadows at the edge of the woods. He was usually a very careful and kind boy.

One sunny afternoon, a small, curious lamb decided it wanted to explore the deep, dark forest. Ravi saw the lamb slipping away through the thick bushes. He rushed over, grabbed the lamb by its wool, and led it back to the safe meadow. "Stay close, little one," Ravi whispered, "the forest is no place for you."

However, the lamb was stubborn. A few minutes later, it tried to sneak back into the woods again. Frustrated and losing his temper, Ravi picked up a heavy stone from the ground and threw it toward the lamb to scare it away. To his horror, the stone struck the lamb's horn with a loud crack. The horn was chipped and broken.

Ravi’s heart sank. He was terrified that his father would scold him for being careless. He knelt beside the lamb and pleaded, "Please, don't tell anyone I threw the stone. I'll tell them you just tripped and hurt yourself."

The lamb looked at Ravi with sad, knowing eyes. "You can ask me to keep a secret, Ravi," the lamb said softly, "but this broken horn will tell the truth to anyone who looks closely. A wound caused by anger cannot be hidden by words."

Soon, Ravi's father arrived to check on the flock. When he saw the damaged horn, he asked, "Ravi, what happened to the lamb?"

Ravi felt a heavy weight in his chest. He realized that trying to hide the truth was making him feel even worse. Taking a deep breath, he confessed everything. His father taught him that honesty is better than any cover-up. Ravi learned that day that our actions always leave a mark, and the truth eventually finds its way out.
