In the heart of a lush green forest stood a magnificent banyan tree. This tree was not just a plant; it was a bustling community where many colorful birds had built their cozy homes. These birds were incredibly hardworking. Long before the monsoon arrived, they had carefully woven their nests using sturdy twigs and soft moss, ensuring every home was waterproof and safe.

One afternoon, the sky turned a heavy shade of grey, and a fierce storm began to lash the forest. The birds tucked themselves deep inside their well-built nests, feeling warm and dry. Meanwhile, a group of monkeys, who had not prepared for the rain, scrambled to the base of the same banyan tree, shivering uncontrollably in the cold wind.

From a high branch, an old, wise dove looked down at the shivering monkeys and said gently, "Friends, if you had spent time building shelters like we did, you wouldn't be suffering in this storm."

A young monkey, feeling insulted by the tiny bird, snapped back, "How dare these little creatures lecture us!"

Another monkey added with a sneer, "Just wait until the rain stops. We will show these tiny birds who is truly strong."

As soon as the rain ceased, the monkeys climbed up the tree in a rage. Instead of seeking shelter, they began tearing at the birds' beautiful nests, ripping them apart and throwing them to the ground. The birds were left heartbroken and exposed to the elements.

Seeing the chaos, the elder dove spoke calmly, "Do not be sad, little ones. We must learn that advice should only be shared with those who have the wisdom to listen. To give counsel to those who lack the humility to hear it is a waste of breath. Today, these monkeys have shown their true foolishness through their pride."

The birds realized that while kindness is important, one must also be selective about whom to offer guidance to.
