In a peaceful little village lived Somu and Neela, along with their five-year-old son, Tharan. Somu worked hard in the fields, while Neela kept their home warm and happy. One afternoon, Neela prepared a simple meal of soft rice and lentils for Tharan. The little boy was so excited that he played with his food, his tiny hands splashing the rice around as he ate with pure joy.
That evening, Somu attended a grand feast in the city. The tables were laden with exotic fruits, honeyed sweets, and delicacies that people said were as sweet as nectar. Somu tasted the finest dishes, but his heart felt strangely empty. When he returned home, he thought of the simple rice Tharan had eaten—the rice that had been touched and played with by his son's small, messy hands. He realized that no matter how expensive or divine the feast was, it could never match the sweetness of that simple meal shared with the love of his child. To him, the rice touched by Tharan's hands was truly more delicious than ambrosia.
