In a peaceful village lived a young boy named Leo. Leo was strong and fast, and sometimes, he let that strength turn into pride. One sunny afternoon, while playing in the garden, Leo noticed a tiny line of ants carrying crumbs of bread. Feeling powerful, he decided to tease them. He began stomping his feet near them, laughing, 'Look how tiny and helpless you are! I could crush you all in a second!'
Just then, his older brother, Sam, walked into the garden. Seeing Leo's behavior, Sam sat down beside him and asked softly, 'Leo, why are you being so unkind to these little creatures?' Leo puffed out his chest and said, 'Because I am big and strong, and they are nothing!'
Sam looked at Leo with kind eyes and said, 'Do you remember last week when we went hiking in the dark forest? When that huge shadow moved in the bushes and a loud thunder rolled, you were trembling with fear, weren't you? In that moment, you felt very small and helpless. Remember that feeling, Leo. Just because you are bigger than these ants doesn't mean you should be unkind. Everyone has moments where they feel small, and that is when we should show compassion, not cruelty.'
Leo stopped laughing. He looked at the tiny ants and then at his own hands. He remembered the fear he felt in the forest, and a wave of shame washed over him. He realized that being strong meant protecting the small, not bullying them. From that day on, Leo became the kindest boy in the village.
