In a peaceful village lived a young boy named Arjun. Arjun was curious, but sometimes he felt frustrated when things became difficult to learn. One sunny afternoon, he watched his grandfather, Madhav, digging a small well in the sandy ground near their house.
After digging just a little bit, Madhav pulled out a handful of dry sand. Arjun asked, "Grandpa, why isn't there any water? Is the well broken?"
Madhav smiled warmly and said, "No, Arjun. This is a sand well. The water is hidden deep below. The more we dig, the deeper we go, and the more water will flow out. If we stop too soon, we will only find sand. But if we persevere, we will find a spring."
That evening, Arjun sat down with his science book. He hit a difficult chapter about the stars, and he wanted to close the book and play instead. But then, he remembered his grandfather's words. He decided to dig deeper into the subject. He read the difficult parts again, asked his teacher the next day, and looked at pictures in the library.
