In a lush green forest lived a young rabbit named Kabilan. Kabilan was energetic, but he had one flaw: he was always in a hurry to reach the very top of everything. One sunny afternoon, Kabilan spotted a magnificent mango tree. At the very tip of the highest branch, a cluster of golden, ripe mangoes hung beautifully.
Kabilan began to climb. The lower branches were thick and sturdy. As he climbed higher, his excitement grew. 'If I just go a little further, I can reach those giant mangoes!' he thought. His wise friend, a calm rabbit named Mani, called out from below, 'Kabilan, stop! You are already high up. Enjoy the fruits you can reach, but don't go any further. The branches are getting thin!'
Kabilan ignored him. Driven by greed and curiosity, he pushed toward the very end of the branch. Just as he reached the tip, a sudden breeze blew. The thin, fragile twig snapped instantly. Kabilan tumbled down, falling through the leaves. He landed hard in a bush, bruising his leg and losing his confidence. As he sat there, nursing his injury, he realized that knowing when to stop is just as important as knowing how to climb.
