In a peaceful village lived a young boy named Karthik. He loved nature and spent most of his time helping his father in their small vegetable garden. One year, a terrible drought hit the village. The sun was harsh, and the rains simply wouldn't come. Slowly, the green leaves turned brown, and the plants began to wither. The villagers were heartbroken. 'It's over,' they sighed. 'We must leave this land and find another place to live.'
But Karthik refused to give up. He looked at his father and said, 'Father, if we stop trying, then it really is over. Let's keep fighting for our garden.' Every single morning, before the sun became too hot, Karthik would walk to a distant stream. He carried heavy buckets of water on his small shoulders, walking back and forth, hour after hour, to water each tiny plant.
His hands grew rough and his legs grew tired, but his spirit remained bright. Seeing his determination, his father and even some neighbors began to help him. Just when things seemed most hopeless, dark clouds gathered in the sky, and a heavy rain finally fell. Because Karthik had kept the plants alive through his struggle, the garden bloomed more beautifully than ever before. His courage had turned a season of despair into a season of hope.
