In a peaceful village lived a young boy named Arjun. Arjun loved gardening more than anything else. His father, Ravi, was a wise farmer who knew the secrets of the earth. One sunny morning, Arjun was tending to a tiny sapling in his garden. He watched with joy as the little plant stretched its leaves toward the sun.
Arjun’s friend, Rohan, was a boy who loved to give lectures. Whenever anyone did something, Rohan would stand there and explain exactly how they should have done it. Seeing Arjun watering the plant, Rohan ran over and said, "Arjun, you are pouring too much water! You must tilt the pot at a forty-five-degree angle, or the soil will become too muddy, and the roots will suffer!"
Arjun sighed. He already knew how to care for his plant. Rohan's long speech felt like a heavy weight rather than help.
That evening, Ravi noticed the interaction. He sat with Arjun and pointed to the flourishing sapling. "Look at that plant, Arjun," Ravi said gently. "It is already strong and growing on its own. It doesn't need a lecture on how to grow; it just needs a little water at the right time. People are like that too. When someone is smart enough to understand a situation, you don't need to give them a long speech. Just a small, timely suggestion is like a gentle rain that helps them grow even more."
Arjun smiled, finally understanding that wisdom lies in knowing when to speak and when to simply provide the support needed for others to shine.
