Once upon a time, nestled between high mountains, stood the magnificent fortress of Emerald Valley. It was a sight to behold, with towering stone walls, massive iron gates, and beautiful towers. King Vikram loved to show off his mighty fortress to visitors. However, there was a hidden problem: the people and soldiers living inside the fortress had grown lazy and careless.
They believed that because the walls were so thick and the gates so heavy, they would never be in danger. While the soldiers napped under the shade, and the guards ignored their duties, the kingdom felt safe only in appearance. One evening, a small group of clever invaders found a narrow, forgotten path leading into the valley. Because the guards were not alert and the people were not prepared to act, the invaders slipped inside easily.
The mighty walls did nothing to stop them, for a wall cannot fight a battle; only people can. King Vikram realized his mistake as he watched his kingdom struggle. He understood that a fortress is just a pile of stones if the people inside do not possess the courage and skill to defend it. From that day on, he focused less on building taller walls and more on training his people to be brave and capable.
