In a lush green forest lived a monkey named Kavi. Kavi was faster and more agile than any other monkey. He could swing from branches and pluck the highest fruits with ease. This skill gave him a big ego. 'I am the smartest in this forest!' he would often boast to his friends.
One afternoon, a heavy storm passed through the forest, leaving many branches broken and tangled. In one corner of the forest, a strange new vine had grown, its branches twisted in a very complex pattern. The other monkeys were hesitant to touch it, fearing it might be dangerous. But Kavi, filled with pride, said, 'Don't be silly! I know everything. Watch me!'
As Kavi climbed the vine, he realized the pattern was much more intricate than he had expected. Instead of stopping to observe and learn, his pride forced him to act quickly to prove his 'intelligence.' He pulled a branch forcefully, thinking he had figured it out. Suddenly, the entire vine snapped, and Kavi tumbled down, landing hard on the ground. He wasn't badly hurt, but his pride was bruised more than his body.
An elderly monkey, who had been watching quietly, came over and showed the youngsters how to carefully untangle the vine. Watching this, Kavi felt a deep sense of shame. He realized that the moment he started saying 'I know it all,' he had actually stopped learning. He understood that true wisdom lies in humility, not in boasting.
