In a peaceful village lived a young girl named Kavimathi and her grandfather. Kavimathi loved eating delicious, tasty treats. One afternoon, her mother prepared some sweet delicacies, and Kavimathi ate them greedily. As soon as she finished, she jumped up to run and play in the garden.
Her grandfather gently stopped her. "Kavimathi, wait. Do not rush into your next activity until you are sure your food has been properly digested," he advised.
Kavimathi was confused. "But Grandpa, I feel energetic! I want to play!" she insisted.
Grandpa smiled wisely. "Listen to your body. If you don't let your food settle, it will make you weak later. And remember, when you are truly hungry next time, do not be picky. Eat whatever is simple and healthy, even if it isn't your favorite, to keep your strength up."
A few days later, after a long day of helping in the garden, Kavimathi felt a deep, gnawing hunger. When she sat down for dinner, she saw only plain porridge instead of her favorite sweets or spicy rice. At first, she felt disappointed. But then, she remembered her grandfather's words. She realized that her body needed nourishment more than her tongue needed flavor. She ate the porridge heartily. That night, she felt wonderful—strong, rested, and healthy. She finally understood that respecting her digestion and eating when hungry was the true secret to staying active.
