In a peaceful village lived a boy named Arjun. He was the smartest student in his class and always excelled at everything he did. Slowly, this success turned into a quiet pride. He began to think he was better than everyone else.
One day, the school organized a drawing competition. Arjun drew a magnificent landscape. His friend, Kavin, drew a simple sketch of a flower. Looking at Kavin's work, Arjun smirked and said, 'Kavin, your drawing is so basic. It can't even be compared to mine.'
To Arjun's shock, the judges awarded the first prize to Kavin for his creativity and emotion. Instead of being happy for his friend, Arjun became stubborn. 'The judges are wrong! My drawing is clearly superior!' he shouted, refusing to accept the result. Because of his arrogance, his classmates stopped playing with him, and Arjun felt very lonely.
His grandfather noticed his sadness and sat him down. 'Arjun,' he said gently, 'True greatness lies in being confident without being conceited. When you use your talent to look down on others or refuse to accept the truth out of pride, you lose your greatness and become small in the eyes of others.'
Arjun realized his mistake. He went to Kavin, apologized for his words, and sincerely praised Kavin's talent. From that day on, Arjun didn't just become a better artist, but a much better person too.
