In a peaceful village lived a young boy named Kavi. Kavi’s family was very poor, and sometimes, he felt left out. During the annual village festival, all his friends were enjoying colorful sweets and new toys. Kavi sat quietly under a large banyan tree, feeling a little sad because he had nothing to celebrate with.
Just then, an elderly gentleman named Mr. Raghavan passed by. Mr. Raghavan was known throughout the land for his immense generosity. It was said that even in his dreams, he would never think of refusing someone in need. He saw Kavi sitting alone and approached him.
Kavi, feeling shy, whispered, 'Sir, could I please have a small sweet?' He felt a bit embarrassed to ask. But Mr. Raghavan smiled warmly and handed him a large box of assorted treats and a few ripe mangoes. Kavi’s eyes lit up with joy.
'Don't be sad, little one,' Mr. Raghavan said gently. 'Asking someone who lives to give is not begging; it is simply connecting with a kind soul.' Kavi realized that because Mr. Raghavan’s heart was always open to helping, asking him felt as natural and effortless as receiving a gift from a friend.
