In a peaceful valley lived Elara and Julian. Julian was a traveling artist, and Elara was his constant support. One morning, Julian had to leave for a long journey to showcase his paintings in a distant city. Before leaving, he placed a delicate gold ring on Elara's finger. 'I will return before you even miss me,' he promised with a smile.
As the days passed, Elara found herself constantly looking at the path leading to their home. One afternoon, while she was working in the garden, she noticed the ring sliding slightly down her finger. A wave of sadness washed over her. She thought, 'The ring is becoming loose. Is this a sign that Julian is drifting away from me? Is he never coming back?'
She spent the whole evening in gloom, fearing that the loose ring was an omen of their separation. However, just as the sun was setting, Julian appeared at the gate, looking tired but happy. When Elara tearfully told him about her fear, Julian held her hands gently. 'My dear, a ring may slip because of time or change, but it cannot signal the end of our love. Our hearts are tied much tighter than any gold,' he said.
Elara realized that her fear was just a shadow cast by her longing. She learned that physical changes do not define the strength of a bond.
